Celonis Process Mining
Process Mining – Value chain optimization, process and workflow detection and handling of non-conformities / types with notification.
What could you have done if you could see how all activities in the organization are playing together, and up against each other, in a positive and negative way, in a graphical tool based on objective information and in real time? For many, this is a dream, but it is actually possible. It is possible to see how the organization delivers based on defined KPIs. What activities are performed. Which tasks stops and creates congestion. How long will things stay.
Use of Process Mining:
- Improvement of processes through algorithmic process finding and analysis
- Improving audit and compliance by making process comparisons, analysis and validation
- Improve process automation by discovering and validating automation capabilities
- Support digital transformation by connecting strategy to the operationa
- Improvement and optimization of resource use through process findings and analysis
- *Algorithmic thinking is a set of concepts and procedures related to the process from becoming aware of a problem until finding a solution to the problem. This involves breaking down the problem into solvable sub-problems, generalizing problems, modeling solutions and finding the steps you need to go through to reach a final solution.
In Process Mining, you hunt, the unknown patterns as much as the known ones. With this, one must have tools that can present what you do not know in a simple way, be able to do drilldown in the matter, and be able to automatically count and monitor these patterns.
When new variants are uncovered, they are also included in the visualization and reports. An extension of this is to include notifications, routing of messages and the opportunity to intrigue with other processes beyond their own control (e.g. approve/reject actions with external parties’ processes), thus ensuring proper follow-up.
In order to do Process Mining you need access to various data sources. Preferably automatic and in real-time. This can be ensured by means of good integration solutions. The systems used in the organization contain log data that gives the date/time markings on the transaction. Access to these tools, respective databases and their transaction data/event logs is thus a prerequisite for the success of these projects – even over time, with continuous improvement in focus.
